In the last newsletter the Mercado Parking Committee requested letters from neighbors reflecting opinions for or against permits.
Here is the Voter Pamphlet the ad hoc parking committee has created to date. We would have liked the input of more position letters, but interest was low. If you have a permit position on parking you still want to share, please submit it to Rick Jones.
The Governing Docs page has been updated to include links to the Mercado District PAD or Planned Area Development as there have been recent interest in the precedent that these documents established for future Association restrictions on parking, landscaping, and architectural rules.
We are a recycling minded community and one challenge area is how to dispose of electronics and rechargeable batteries that contain toxins (every type except alkaline). One reliable source that accepts these items is Keeper of the Grumper Foundation, 3219 N 1st Ave Tucson, Arizona, 85719. Their projects also supports various youth leadership programs. This information will be added to the Trash and Recycling page.
The Pet of the Month is Iris
Some new entries to the Services page where owners make recommendation of services they like.
The city's Brush and Bulky pick up is on 9/8. All allowed items are placed outside of the west facing enclosure wall so that the doors to the trash enclosure on Cushing are not blocked. Items outside of the enclosure are allowed for this event only.
