The Pet of the Month is Signe

April is peak month for Palo Verde blooms. The trees along the Santa Cruz are Blue Palo Verde. Higher up on rocky hillsides are typically Foothill Palo Verde. 'Desert Museum' cultivars have dense large flowers, and no thorns, and are seen in our adjacent landscaped areas. Unfortunately their trunks split in high winds and are gradually being removed.
